Charles Kingston (1856-1944) was born in Peterborough, England, to Fredrick and Mary Ann Hunter Kingston. Fredrick joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the mid-1850s and emigrated to Utah. Charles joined his father in 1879, joined the church, and served a mission to England from 1886 to 1888. Upon returning to the United States, Charles Kingston settled in Rock Springs, Wyoming, where he became active in local politics. U.S. President William McKinley appointed him registrar...
